Day 4 - Wednesday 16th August 2017

This morning was a more difficult start as we all went to bed late last night; however, we were all up at 7am and sat around the breakfast table by 7:30 for a combination of yoghurt, fruit and toast.
By 9am we were down at the school house playing with the children before the day camp officially started. To open camp this morning Becky led us in worship by singing Jesus' love is very wonderful and Who is the King of the Jungle? Emma and Lauren then told us the story of The Lost Sheep and acted out the story for all the children to see.
To get us all up and going again, we had a quick game of crab football in which we had to move like crabs! It soon became very competitive and we discovered quickly that the children were a lot faster at moving that the adults!!
We then split up into our colour groups and had a craft activity to do. Brenda and Trevor had arranged for us to use cotton wool to make a woolly sheep, like the lost sheep and those that the shepherd left in the field.
Our bonus activity today was to design your own T-Shirt! The children had great fun coming up with all sorts of colourful designs, including drawing around each other's hands, very creative animals and writing each other's names in the shirts.
Lunch was served at 12:30 and it was amazing, we ate with the children and had sausage, potatoes and a scrum my sauce. Once we all had full stomachs, we sang a few worship song and then sat down to recap the story of the Lost Sheep and did a little memory game to remember the day.
The verse was: "I am the good shepherd and the good shepherd gives his life for his sheep." John 10:11.
We then a game of football with the children in the very hot sun, but then took it to the next level with giant football with a huuuuuggggeeee inflatable ball!!
At 17:00 we went back to the house as a group for a little down time and dinner before going back down to the school house and watching the Lion King with the children and teachers with home made ice lollies and popcorn made by the cooks at Hands! Once the film had finished we said our good nights and headed back to our house.
We had a great but very filled day full of fun and laughter, but we are all ready for our beds and a good nights sleep.
